Mashable launched the event in 2010 as a way to recognize the digital revolution happening right before our eyes. On June 30th, for the third time, Social Media Day will be celebrated globally and Cagayan de Oro City will take part in the celebration for the 1st time!

What is Social Media Day?

Social Media Day is an annual international event on June 30 that recognizes the digital revolution happening around the world. This is a global celebration of the technological advancements that have given rise to the connected generation.

We are expecting to gather the city’s Social Media enthusiasts, bloggers and practitioners from the media, business owners, non-profit organizations and the local government officials for a day of fun, community conversation, discussions and networking.

Cagayan de Oro City will be one of the more than 487 cities celebrating Social Media Day around the world!
